Summer is my favorite season to indulge in the most simple pleasures, in the form of getting dressed and moving through the day.

Such as an afternoon in the park — sandals, sunnies, shoulder bag

High on this list will always be the joy of wearing jeans, a t-shirt, and sandals without second thought. Not overthinking it is the pleasure in itself, but lately I’ve enjoyed wearing an updated take with a slightly longer, elevated, elbow-grazing sleeve.

I’ve been wearing some form of the outfit above during the day and love how it effortlessly transitions into other scenarios— I can’t stop thinking about the pairings with a skirt.

Some of my favorite elbow-grazing t-shirts in rotation include this lightweight option (in both black and white), and this silky knit I grabbed while on sale (here’s another great one marked down). This option looks amazing and if I didn’t have the long sleeve version, any further search would end here.

A similar pleasure is leaning into styling pajamas— a vintage slip or nightgown with an easy flat shoe and raffia isn’t lazy, it’s a one way ticket to peak bliss. If a dress isn’t your preference, this sleep set I’m always talking about has endless styling opportunity, and my favorite silky shorts worn below hit a similar relaxed note.

Simple in spirit — a few recent additions that fit the mood perfectly:

underwater weaving feels both necessary and practical to use at home on Cape Cod — I found this one preloved with some charm, but this hands free version seems fit for the city

an emotional support scarf is needed at all times — this one will be permanently living in my carry-on

This list continues and ends with some final vacation “essentials” I recently shared on TikTok, including this mini raffia bucket bag, tank tops, sheer long sleeve and sandals I couldn’t resist immediately wearing.

On that note, traveling light truly brings me pleasure and I think the same concept can be applied to any trip out of the home, even if it’s only for the day. I forgot how nice it is to carry just a wallet or card case, which I was reminded of as I was looking at the exact contents of my bag over the weekend.

The only other thing I typically carry with me at all times is some form of Fara Homidi whether that’s a liner, gloss, or compact. Her entire lineup of products are both beautiful to look at and simplify the act of putting on makeup, which I love.
