A few great brands
that still feel a little under the radar
Tired of the same? Same!
I was back in Seattle recently, and while I usually prefer shopping online, it was so nice to see/try things in person. There were a few brands that stood out to me up close, so I thought they were worth sharing here!
Ironically, my favorite store in Seattle has always been Atelier New York. (I lived in Seattle for ~5 years before we moved to SF and miss it so much.)
Capitol Hill is mostly vintage and thrift shops, so stepping into their two-floor storefront that is stacked with all the designers likely taking over your online shopping tabs is… completely immersive.

My number one takeaway here was Auralee—a brand I knew of but had never experienced personally. It’s worth checking out the selection online here and here, but let me just say: if you love The Row but aren’t as obsessed with the price point, this brand is for you.
The quality is impressive, and the designs are veryyyy inspired… and reminded me of more than half my closet. I’ll spare you more examples, but this sweater immediately reminded me of one I’ve been eyeing, at half the price and a much higher percentage of cashmere. Food for thought!
On a similar note, you’re probably sick of hearing me talk about my favorite Row denim, so you’ll be pleased to know I have a new obsession with Jeanerica.
The Sisli jean was kindly sent my way, and what stood out most was the wash. It’s the perfect medium blue that looks vintage and goes with everything—not to mention very reminiscent of this pair I’ve been wearing a lot lately.
FWIW, the brand seems to runs very long (32” is the shortest inseam for most styles), but a single cuff actually looked chic with sandals and a trench. This is exactly how I styled them as I was rushing out the door for a facial at the Monastery spa back at home in SF.

Taking a brief intermission from discovery brands to talk about trenches. Not one in particular, but more of a reminder that this is the time of year where a trench can be the entire outfit. Pair it with a a great bag, favorite jeans/pants, plus a good shoe and you’re set. I.e.
A field (or barn) jacket works just as well with this formula…my case in point. The red version I’m wearing below is sold out, but it’s the same style as the white one I live in year-round, which is somehow still on sale with plenty of sizes available.
If you’re set on red, this is a great alternative.
Before we move on, quickly noting I’ve been intrigued by many of the new outerwear options from this brand. This one specifically caught my eye (reminds me of this) if you’re looking for something less of an investment. This is a nice middle ground option too.

Next on my list is JUDE, which is already gaining traction, but I have to underscore just how good they are after finally testing in person. I have a feeling the Yaga thong sandal in particular is going to be everywhere soon—both the wedge and flat versions.
I’d honestly take one of the entire collection if I could!
I tried very hard to resist these sunglasses (you’ve likely seen them on some of the chicest girls), but I only have so much willpower. The shape fully won me over as it somehow completes every outfit. I’ve been wearing them nonstop for the past week, and I feel that they’ve yet to miss. Also particularly useful when you’re not in the mood to be perceived. (Just me?)
They’re currently sold out, but this style is a great alternative and will be available soon at Hero Shop if you’re local to SF.
Ending here with further proof that the jacket is the outfit.

Love your style so much! Can I ask if the Totême trench in beige leans cool or warm? It looks much cooler in your photo than online, so I’m curious!
I have a wishlist a mile long for Jude shoes
