Spending as much time as I can on the East Coast is truly what makes living on the West Coast feel tolerable. I spent the past few days in NYC soaking up every second of the cold, making far too many stops at Happier Grocery, and wearing this turtleneck way more than I ever expected to.

I essentially went straight from JFK to celebrate the launch of the Mytheresa x Hani’s holiday gift shop on Madison Avenue. The space was designed as a whimsical bakery-meets-boutique, mixing freshly baked Hani’s treats with a beautifully curated edit of luxury gifts via MyTheresa. Open to shop now through the 14th!
When in doubt, you really can’t go wrong by keeping the outfit paired back and simple. I wore this cardigan in ivory (surprisingly substantial) and matching tank (half off here!), heeled boots, hyper fixation jeans, this classic belt and a sold-out leather coat, similar to this dream version for visual reference.
I also stopped by Mercicestvintagee holiday curation for Le Pop Up at the Invisible Collection townhouse. Basically a quintessential UES home filled with the most intentional mix of vintage and emerging brands, all available to shop. I’m still working on my eye for sourcing vintage, but this was a dream.
The space was intimate and perfect for the event, but humbling for taking outfit photos. Wearing an all black base with a great coat on top felt like the best option for uptown. I also wouldn’t have survived the trip without leather gloves.
Every corner was filled with treasures and I left feeling inspired to start working more vintage into my wardrobe. A couple other items I loved that are readily available from emerging brands: Borne’s Spira cuff and The Anteros new wool pants that could easily pass as Galas in new colors, if you’re in the market.
Two things remain true every time I travel… my favorite moments are always the ones in between, and I would’ve been totally fine with about a quarter of what I packed. That said for December in New York, I didn’t go overboard, I just found myself reaching for the same pieces.
If I haven’t convinced you on off-white cords for the easiest way to do winter white, I feel like a failure. I wore them for a day of meetings and on many of my countless grocery runs.
I also hope I’m convincing you on socks with flats because I love how it looks! Something slightly sheer is my preference.
I could easily wear this wrap coat every day (even in California) because it’s just that easy to throw on and works with everything.
My final day was spent catching up with one of my chicest friends at Rigor Hill and making my way to a few of the usual spots. I spent more time enjoying than taking photos, but I’m very much ok with that.
The sales associate at Kallmeyer sold me on her entire outfit, made up of these jeans and this wool shirt with the tie removed. I’m giving myself a pass for the lack of pictures, but the entire store is really great in person.
I spent far too much of my flight home scrolling through the picked-over sales, but that’s what an overstimulated 6 hours in the air will do to me. I think we’re all collectively over them at this point, but these heeled sandals at 60% off seem noteworthy. Not sure how a full size run is still available but we should be twins. Same goes for this current season Toteme coat.
