For This Time of Year
Grounding habits to stay chic and sane
Wellness has always felt adjacent to fashion to me, so it feels natural to share a bit more of that here. I’m hypersensitive to just about everything and after some back-to-back travel, was reminded that my rituals are essential rather than optional. So, should you need some grounding this holiday season, here’s what keeps me feeling in check!
Supplements: It goes without saying that supplements are ultra personal, but there are a handful that fall in the general category that I can’t live without. If the thought of bloating is uncomfortable as it feels, these are the most effective. I don’t skip a day of this* probiotic or this* multivitamin, and if you run anxious or stressed, saffron is your new best friend. And for any liquid overindulgence, these do help kickstart the detox process especially when wearing one of these sheet masks.

Habits:
Dry Brushing gives me an instant energy boost and I like to think of it as a mini lymphatic massage to rid of toxins, inflammation, travel puffiness etc... I do it twice a day, first thing in the AM and again before I shower, simply because I love it that much. This brush is great for beginners, but I’ve graduated to this one with firmer bristles.
At home lymphatic massage is probably unnecessary if you’re already dry brushing, but after my shower and post body moisture*, I love using this body tool to optimize things even further.
*Currently rotating between this glow oil, dew oil, or this 24 hr serum
If you’re not already scraping your tongue before anything else, please start today. Follow up with warm lemon water!
I go to bed dreaming of matcha, but promise me you’re not having caffeine first thing on an empty stomach and avoid your phone for as long as possible upon waking up. Easier said than done.
Sleep: Mouth tape has been in my arsenal for years and I’ve successfully converted my husband and mom to get on board too, so now it’s officially your turn! Also, what you wear to sleep is more important than you think; I recently replaced my entire PJ selection with this brand and I wish I had sooner. And doom scrolling before bed isn’t chic but reading a book absolutely is.
I could go on, but these are my baseline non-negotiables. One other thing that consistently lifts my mood is simply getting dressed, even if it’s just stepping out for 10 minutes. It doesn’t need to be groundbreaking (i.e. see below), but built from good pieces that you actually enjoy wearing. For example:

There’s absolutely nothing special or new about this outfit, but maybe that’s the point. I wore it to grab matcha, pick up a few fresh things for the fridge, and stop by the post office. But it is made up of closet staples that I get true satisfaction from wearing on repeat, especially the pieces that were more of an investment. I’ll never shame a good lounge look with a coat thrown on, but sometimes putting on real pants does more for your mood than you expect!
I’ve had and worn almost everything for years, the most noteworthy being the only loafers you really need, my absolute favorite everyday bag, and a very versatile cashmere sweater (alt). Scarf is new but has barely left my body since it’s arrival at my doorstep!
Some other news and updates:
My birthday is in a few days and we’re spending the weekend in Carmel to celebrate. These festive pants are coming with me, likely paired with this wishlist coat I caved on during all of the sales.
I also shared my dream holiday outfit in my favorite newsletter, alongside some of the coolest girls on the internet. Such an honor.
If you’re not already on ShopMy’s new Shopper app, here is my referral link. It’s separate from the creator/affiliate side of things, and truly makes shopping (and list building) maybe too seamless.
RŌZ launched a new Salt Scalp Scrub Exfoliating Shampoo and just like their entire line-up, it’s incredible especially for maintaining a healthy scalp this time of year.
LESET just sent these which were crowned the chicest airport pants by LSD, if you’re traveling soon and have a few business days to spare for shipping. I’d pair with this top that is nearly identical to my Row Gretas cardigan.
