A Bit of a Catch-Up
Recent outfits, New York moments, and other scattered thoughts this month
Earlier this month I casually mentioned I’d be sharing 30 days of outfits to hold myself accountable for getting dressed and posting daily looks. Unsurprisingly, that didn’t really happen but I did manage to wear a few good looks throughout May.
I feel like it’s pretty relatable that even though I’m genuinely obsessed with clothes and a great outfit, I don’t always have the motivation to pull something together on a regular weekday. Part of that is probably because I start most mornings at Pilates, then work from home, and end up in some version of what I wore to class with a layer added or something swapped.
More days than not, I’m likely running out to get matcha in something like this:
Since I’m admittedly spending too much time wearing my Pilates looks beyond the 50 minutes spent in class, I’m constantly on the lookout for chic activewear brands. Norba is newly on my radar and their Essential Legging and Strappy Bralette are en route to test out, so stay tuned here.
My typical Pilates uniform includes these leggings (or the stirrup version) so when the capri version launched, I didn’t have to think twice. Although they’re slightly trendier, it’s nice to have something different in the mix when the usual is a plain black legging. I styled them with this nylon jacket and Bonnie sneakers for class, but they also look great with my favorite sweatshirt and the flip flops everyone seems to be wearing for something casual.

I spent a couple days in New York ahead of MDW which included celebrating the new Heaven Mayhem and Freja collaboration—it was an incredibly chic night and I ended up loving my outfit, albeit I was a bit unsure of it to begin with.
It rained basically the entire time and I definitely didn’t pack the right shoes for the weather, but I still managed to enjoy every second. Sharing a roundup of my favorite moments over on IG:
On a separate note, it truly feels like the entire internet is on sale right now. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t love the thrill, but it can get overwhelming quickly. When The Row private sale email went out, it completely derailed my morning routine and sent my cortisol up and to the right… but some good purchases were made.
I was chatting with a few friends and it’s actually crazy how quickly you have to move if you want to get something off your wishlist. I was lucky to score my favorite black jeans in the white and brown versions, along with some great cashmere for chillier summer days/nights. This version of the gala pants are currently with my tailor to see if she can work some magic—they seem to be running extremely long so wish me luck (we’re past the point of return.)
If you missed out, the markdowns will keep getting better through the summer, and realistically, whatever you were eyeing will probably show up on The RealReal sooner than later. The amount of current-season Row on TRR lately has been kind of insane—I’ve seen so many Awar flats (have and love), which has me tempted to start sharing roundups here. The hunt is fun and the finds are too good to not share. I sadly didn’t act fast enough on this sweater in my size but there’s another size still available to haunt me.
A bit all over the place as usual, but ending it here. Let me know what you want to see more of in June!
